CUSTOMER APPRECIATION BBQ

JUNE. 15th, TUESDAY from 3-7pm

We would LOVE to have all our clients past and present to join us. We are having a customer appreciation bbq at our new home for the clients who have made The Ruff Life possible for the last 5 years!
We will have food, drinks, doggy treats (for dogs of course), tours of the property, and prizes.
Please feel free to bring your pooches as there is lots of room for them all. We hope to see you all out.

We are excited to announce......The first day will be Thursday, June.3rd.
Drop off times are any time after 8:30am-8:30pm. Spots are limited and we are filling up fast!

WE HAVE MOVED

Hello Everyone.
We have finally moved into the acreage.
So that means our Dog Boarding and Doggy Day School are ready to kick off...(You must be a present or past client!) We are also looking forward to getting our indoor location up and running for those days where the weather is really hot or yukky out. Please keep posted as we will be having a client appreciation day where everyone can come and check out what we have going on, have some beverages and a BBQ....and of course to catch up.

Our new address is 7724 Howe Drive, Coldstream. We are located by the Coldstream Cemetery.

There is a couple new free consultations set up, for those who are interested in our dog training. Hello everyone. As many of you know, one of my mothers passed away unexpectedly this week. I just really wanted to thank everyone for their understanding and patience through everything. The Ruff Life will be re-opened Tuesday, May.25th, 2010.

All the dogs can do this big or small. We teach the owners how to lay a scent/track. The dogs find their owners by air or ground scenting. It is a total blast!!!

THIS PRODUCT IS HIGHLY TOXIC TO DOGS AND CATS

Cocoa Mulch, which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman's Garden Supply and other Garden supply stores contains a lethal ingredient called 'Theobromine'. It is lethal to dogs and cats. It smells like chocolate and it really attracts dogs. They will ingest this stuff and die. Several deaths already occurred in the last 2-3 weeks.

Theobromine is in all chocolate, especially dark or baker's chocolate which is toxic to dogs. Cocoa bean shells contain potentially toxic quantities of theobromine, a xanthine compound similar in effects to caffeine and theophylline. A dog that ingested a lethal quantity of garden mulch made from cacao bean shells developed severe convulsions and died 17 hours later. Analysis of the stomach contents and the ingested cacao bean shells revealed the presence of lethal amounts of theobromine.

Although the mulch had NO warnings printed on the label, upon further investigation on the company's web site,

This product is HIGHLY toxic to dogs and cats.

Cocoa Mulch is manufactured by Hershey's, and they claim that "It is true that studies have shown that 50% of the dogs that eat Cocoa Mulch can suffer physical harm to a variety of degrees (depending on each individual dog). However, 98% of all dogs won't eat it."

WHATS REALLY IN DOG FOOD!!!

This is a real reality check for those of us who think we might be feeding our loving furry family memebers "good food". The reality of whats really in grocery store pet food (exception being Costco's Kirkland Dog Food). YES!!! That includes Walmart too! Please buy a good quality pet food from one of your local pet stores. You will spend the same amount of money, as foods that have corn in them you feed double of one that does not! Not to mention less vet bills.
