March-April Drop-In Sessions~Updated April.11

These sessions are for past clients who have finished our group training program OR clients looking to complete their 4th or 5th class. 

Drop-in session's are weather dependent. If there is Thunder & Lightning, high winds, or lot's of rain class will be cancelled. If you are not sure, please check back on a regular basis. It WILL be posted on this blog if it is cancelled. (and our Facebook page)

**Due to our ever changing weather conditions, it is important that you come prepared to the classes- for your selves and your dogs. Please dress weather appropriate. Waterproof shoes are suggested.**

BX Dog Park Drop-In- FINISHED

Date & Time: Thursday, March. 30th at 6pm

Place: BX Ranch Dog Park

Bring: HIGH value treats (NO KIBBLE), long leads, training collars if necessary, squeaky toy if you are soft spoken, PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE A REGULAR COLLAR ON YOUR DOG

Price: FREE

Working on: Commands with high distractions, Commands with distance, advancing obedience, formal & informal commands, recalls, confidence boosting, manners, socialization and problem behaviour. NEED TO WORK ON SOMETHING?!?! TALK TO US!

Loose Leash & Re-Call Drop-In  FINISHED

This is the first time we have ever run this drop-in, so we are hoping to get some good response! We ask that you do some homework before you come to this class... please look below.

Date & Time: Wednesday, April. 5th at 6pm

Place: Kal Tire Place, Vernon BC. (3445 43 Ave, Vernon, BC V1T-8P5)

We will be meeting in the back bottom parking lot.

Kal Tire Place used to be called the "Multiplex" & "Wesbild Centre" and is located behind the Big Safeway in Vernon Square Strip Mall. (Same strip mall as London Drugs)

Price: $2.00 (Toonie)... this money will help go towards buying new equipment for some of our drop-in sessions.

Homework: Please take a few minutes to teach your dog 'Watch'. Teaching your dog the other 2 types of 'touch' will also help:

Annual BX Dog Park Spring Clean-Up  FINISHED

It's that time of year again... when all of the "gifts" our dogs have given us, peer out from under the snow and ice. Let's make this park beautiful again... SPRING IS HERE!!!

Date & Time: Saturday, April. 8th at 11am

Place: BX Ranch Dog Park

Bring: Wheel Barrows, scooping tools (shovels, & large spoons), garbage bags, wire cutters, gloves and smiles ;)

Working on: We will be cleaning up the dog park again this year to make it beautiful! Last year we had an AMAZING turn out! Let's make it even better this year.

Dogtra Connect Walking Drop-In- POSTPONED

YOU MUST PRE REGISTER

(This is a LOW STIMULATION class- you will BARLEY -if at all- feel it on the palm of your hand). 

 This 60-90 minute course will focus on using your electronic training collar for loose leash walking. 

We will be working on:
**Not pulling on a leash with distractions
**Automatic sit when you stop (in a clean position)

**Cleaning up your "Watch Me"

** YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DOGTRA OR ELECTRONIC TRAINING COLLAR TO DO THIS COURSE** (Brands must be pre-approved)
